Jasmine Singh, D.O. is a board-certified psychiatrist, international media correspondent, and recognized authority in cultural psychiatry.
Born and raised in California, she brings a globally informed outlook with unmistakable California charm—blending clinical expertise with cultural fluency and a modern voice in mental health.
Dr. Singh holds a degree in economics with a minor in theater from the University of California, San Diego, where she also founded the Foreign Film Society and explored her creative interests by modeling couture from Indian designers on the runway—an early expression of her connection to culture, storytelling, and visual artistry. She went on to study epidemiology, creative writing, and British cultural history at the University of Cambridge, further enriching her interdisciplinary perspective.
She then earned her medical degree from Touro University California, where she founded the California Psychiatric Awareness Coalition, a nonprofit focused on expanding public understanding of mental health.
She completed her residency in psychiatry at UCSF-Fresno, with specialized training in college mental health and the impact of culture on mental health.
During residency, Dr. Singh began appearing as an on-air medical correspondent, producing and delivering televised segments on mental health—an opportunity that evolved into an international media career. Today, she is a trusted voice across platforms like international television, podcasts, publications. Her work spans the intersection of psychiatry, culture, and modern wellness.
In clinical practice, Dr. Singh specializes in mood and anxiety disorders and is well versed in discussing cultural and cross-cultural mental health issues. Her approach integrates evidence-based medicine, psychotherapy, psychoeducation, and wellness-informed care, delivered with depth, warmth, and cultural insight.
Outside of her work, Dr. Singh enjoys painting, cooking, and long walks by the beach. She also finds inspiration in curating visual arts experiences, spending time in nature, and hosting gatherings with friends and family that celebrate culture, connection, and creativity.
